Vampire diaries 6x19 : our review

Thursday, The CW aired episode 19 of season 6 of The Vampire Diaries titled "Because". Discover our review!

Episode 19, affected a lot of people, because the intrigue around Caroline. At the beginning of the episode, Stefan explains that he has a plan for turning back on Caroline' emotions : make her believe that he doesn't have his emotions back, weak her, torture her until she comes back. 

However, Elena has a letter that Liz wrote before she died and that she sent to Caroline who never read it.  Their plan seems perfect, but not to mention Caroline who really doesn't want to reconnect with her human side. 

During the entire episode, Caroline and Stefan are locked in a hotel room which has been enhanced so that they can't escape, and they didn't eat.  It doesn't happen like it should because Caroline asks Stefan to burn her mom's letter before even open it, he had to do it for Caroline doesn't doubt him.  Reconnect Caroline to her emotions is a long process, and it's finally her mom's memories who changed everything. 

When Caroline comes back to the REAL her, it's really painful. First, all the pain from her mom's death comes back, then it's adding to the fact that she burned the letter she wrote to her, so she will never read it. It's without mention the memories of all the people she killed. 

That's too much for Caroline who leaves the hotel room, devastated. The whole Part on Caroline was really touching and sad espeially when we see her mother again, we know that the next episodes will be really heard for the young lady. 

About Delena, they had a lot of drama too. The two lovers played the game "where you will be in 5 years if you were human". It's the occasion for Damon to realize that Elena is struggling about being a vampire forever. 

However, when we give him the choice to save the cure for giving it to Elena, Damon doesn't choose the opportunity. Bonnie found out that Damon gave the ascendent to Lily and got pissed, she decides to go on the Salvatore's mention to  find it. When Lily found out that the ascendant is gone, she threats Damon to destroy the cure if he doesn't give her the ascendant back. 

Damon, in a cowardly impulse, does not take the ascendant to Bonnie, even if it could destroy every chance for Elena to have the life she wants. 

However, Lily is smarter than I thought, she doesn't destroy the cure and decides to give it directly to Elena. Damon can't hides anymore and has to tell her the truth. 

The following has lef us speechless, Elena, after spends 2 episodes talking about things she will never has, refuses to take the cure. For the logic, we'll come back later. 

However, it becomes more amazing, Damon tells Elena that they will take the cure together! 

Again, we are suprised, to our knowledge, there is enough cure just for one person. How they will share the cure? Will they go find an other one in an other world? 

The episode ends on a reunion between Enzo and Lily. Lily, sad from being far from her "family", couldn't stop to be a ripper again. Is it the beginning of an important friendship?
