The Roomate : our review

So, I saw the movie "The Roomate" by Christian E. Christiansen.
I heard about it on instagram, on a gossip girl account (Can't remember which one). You know I'm in love with Gossip Girl so when I heard Leighton Meester aka Blair Cornelia Waldorf Bass was playing in it, I was so excited to watch it. I didn't know at first but there were all my tv shows favorite actors :

- Matt Lanter (Aka Liam Court on 90210)
- Nina Dobrev (Aka Elena Gilbert, aka Katherine Pierce, aka Amara in The Vampire Diaries)
- Kat Graham (Aka Bonnie Benett in The Vampire Diaries)
- Danneel Ackles (Aka Rachel Gatina in One Tree Hill)

Leighton Meester's performance was awesome but The Roommate is unable to produce the slightest chill. Arrived number 1 in the US box office for a week-end, The Roommate, however, has not much to show, if not match the product type in which each element was weighed to match demands of a teenagers public like me. The target audience is obviously teens from 13 to 17 years old. They don't know nothing in this film exists, the story has not been matured by an author, there are no artists in charge.

With such a small script, it would have been welcome to develop mad psychology  on Leigton's role, exacerbating perhaps her madness and spice at the same time the murders scenes!

In the kind of film with campus killer, Urban Legend in 1998, was much more effective because its authors tried at least to stage the murders with originality and a minimum of sadism. The Scream franchise was genuinely métacinématographique thinking that allowed his productions depths to be relevant for older viewers. The Roommate strives to be just a kids film.

I DON'T RECOMMAND YOU THAT MOVIE.

They had a cool cast but they didn't use it like they should do. They were famous at this time, Kat and Nina finished season 2 of TVD, Matt finished season 3 of 90210 and Danneel Ackles finished One Tree Hill.

NOTE : 3/10

That's it guys, the next review will be about Nina Dobrev's lattest movie : Final Girls!

May be the odds be ever in your favor...
You know you love me...
