Glee 6x12 -6x13 FINAL : our review

All good things come to an end ... The tv show Glee has officially bowed out Friday night on the american channel FOX. Indeed the channel aired the last two episodes of the sixth and final season of the tv show, titled "2009" and "Dreams Come True". In order to complete the show in style, Ryan Murphy chose to do a double-episode! The first episode proposes us a return in 2009, ie the year when it all started. Kurt, Mercedes, Tina, Artie and Rachel, the original members of the glee club, introduced themselves one by one. This flashback is interesting and fun to watch. Especially since it ends with the first song sang by the New Directions "Dont Stop Believin '" ... with Finn! We all cried during this amazing song!

lBack to the present (almost), the second episode takes us to the national championship choirs of 2015. Of course, New Directions wins! Soon, we realize that this episode contains ONLY good news to offer us the happy ending we dreamed so much. Thus, the McKinley High School is a specialized high school in the arts, whose Will is the principal. Dreams become reality indeed, but for that we must persevere and continue to believe. For six seasons, Will fought for the arts have their rightful place in the high school. Today they occupy all the space ... A nice contrast to his character! The only criticism that we could make in the episode is the lack of realism in certain situations (Mercedes made the first part of Beyoncé? Seriously?). Nevertheless, we feel a real desire from the writers to give our heroes the life they deserve.

5 years in the future allows us to discover the new life of the characters, including Rachel! Married to Jesse (who knew?), The young woman is the surrogate mother of Kurt and Blaine. But above all, she won her first Tony Award during an evening full of class and glamor. Unable to hold back our tears when Rachel talks about Will in her speech! The most comical conversion of the show is undoubtedly Sue's, now vice president of the USA. Her character brings humorous sequences, but also deeper sequences. Her final speech about the glee club is and will remain one of the strongest moments in the history of the show.

More than a pretty speech, a true reflection on the power of the choir is proposed. What a joy to see ALL the characters of the show, together on stage at the Finn Hudson Auditorium! Glee will indeed marked a generation.

Goodbye Glee, We'll miss you...

2009-2015
