PLL 6x02 : our review

The episode was much less intense than the previous one and mainly focuses on the return to normal life of Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily. Each in their own way, they will have to face reality, still haunted by what happened to them in the Dollhouse. The episode is rather slow.

However, it is necessary to show the credibility of the trauma they have experienced. "Songs of Innocence" begins while they are in the hospital, no one really knows how much time has elapsed since their release. Emily takes this opportunity to discuss with Sara Harvey, another teenager who was locked up with them.

We learn that she has been abducted by Charles while she was away from home. When we see her again in the episode, she will announce to Emily that she is still away from home because, apparently, her mother is better without her. Something tells us that Sara still has things to hide. And, I already don't like her so her storyline is going to bother me, I don't like new characters and I would to see more about Alison.

You all say Shay Mitchell is a good actress, how do you know that? She only knows how to do the pout with "facial" expressions who all look exactly the same : sad, angry, worred, happy!

Once back home, the liars must face the fact that they will be in a room similar which where they were locked. We see that immediately on Hanna, she is no longer comfortable in her room and she decides to change all the furniture and all the decoration. If we fully understand her gesture, this is not the case of his mother or Caleb. Indeed, we wonder why the other Liars are not doing the same thing...

Meanwhile, Emily takes refuge in her father's army jacket and decides to take a stand shooting. When her mother finds out, she is furious . In general, the four mothers are completely dropped to manage the trauma of their daughters, they do not know how to talk to them, particularly because girls refused to talk about what happened.

It is also seen elsewhere with Spencer, who can not sleep at all. Having had addiction problems, her mother refused to be prescribed medication to help her sleep. She noted, however, her mistake, and will try in her own way, to help her daughter to sleep.

I have 2-3 things to say about the attitude of mothers that I do not understand. Your daughter was tortured for three weeks and she comes back in great shape, she struggles to regain courtyard of her life, and you spend all your time yelling at her (I do not speak of the mother of Hanna, she was the only one who well managed, she's a good mom).

I also have read fans reactions to the behavior of the mother of Spencer, I totally understand her attitude, your daughter was a drug addict so I understand her choice for the medicinal product, because another storyline going on about drugs will bother me!

Concerning the attitude of famous boyfriends, as usual Ezra and Toby are useless for no change. Only Caleb really looks like he really loves Hanna and that he cares about her. Besides, I like to know how Toby who is supposed to be in high school became a policeman, that's the American dream?

The one that seems to best cope is Aria. But this is only appearance, and we feel that deep down, she is just as anxious as the others. She does not hesitate to lie to the police claiming that Andrew - who has been arrested - is indeed the man who took them, saying that she saw his face without a mask.

The young woman absolutely wants Andrew is the culprit, in this way, she could resume her life more calmly, thinking that -A no longer be able to hurt him.

However, as noted Toby, it is very unlikely that Andrew is -A, because the clues are too overwhelming, and -A has always been smart. During the episode, we learn more about their experiences. Charles forced them to play "games", during which they were suffering each other. "Pick-one, or they all suffer".

A set of mutual torture which is why they are so distant and they can barely look each other in the eyes. Fortunately, the final scene, in which it shows us all the phone, makes us think they will still remain close. Furthermore, it must still be noted that in the episode, Alison asked her father who Charles DiLaurentis is, and he replied that he did not know anyone with that name. In addition, Alison met Lorenzo,  a police officer who is new to Rosewood. It is not clear where these scenes are going to lead, but it remains wary of newcomers. What did you think of this episode?
