PLL 5x21 : our review

Tuesday night, the American channel ABC Family aired episode 21 of season 5 of Pretty Little Liars. Discover our review of "Bloody Hell!"

We approach the season finale of season 5 of Pretty Little Liars, which should bring a lot of answers, episode 21 was somewhat disappointing because after an episode that began to give us the slopes, this one puts us in the dark. Certainly, there were some bloody surprises, but no smoking gun regarding the identity of -A.

This episode begins when Spencer, Emily and Aria go to jail to see Alison and apologize. In good player, Alison did not tell them "I told you so" but wonder when she can finally get out of there. Unfortunately for her, Aria is not ready to sacrifice her brother to free Ali.

Indeed, the new evidence could free Alison but could result in charges against Mike for obstruction of justice, since he has information that he has not shared with police. Mrs Hastings also confirmed it when Aria asked the question. Alison is doomed to await her trial, and she is receiving new threats from -A in the prison, really nobody can stop -A, not even a constantly monitored prison.

We then follow Spencer in London, where she meets her sister's roommate, Colin. The young man really looks cute, but Spencer is too stressed by her problems to pay attention. During her interview with the Oxford professor, when everything seems to be going swimmingly, a huge red stain starts to spread from her bag on one of the office chairs. Panicked, Spencer rushes out, leaving the teacher without speechless. Once outside, her fears are confirmed it really was blood!

Meanwhile, in Rosewood, Aria has traced Cyrus and asks Hanna to accompany her to the the hospital for visit him. He is in the major burns, again, -A does not do things by half! Cyrus is not too much in the state to talk to them but he still manages to write "Varjack" on a napkin, which reminds Hanna the film Breakfast at Tiffany's (Breakfast at Tiffany's). "Varjack" is it is a code name for -A?

Finally, Aria also had her fears. Aria was in her brother's room looking for clues to who this mysterious "Varjack" is, she lacks being crushed by Mike's sports equipment which was sabotaged. Mike is also on the "kill list" of -A now. Fortunately, Andrew is here to help, and Aria kisses him.

æAbout Emily, her storyline is still quite far from -A and other Liars. She seems to be back with Talia, who left her husband and they share some nice scenes together. We wonder why Emily is so cut off from the main plot, in this show all quickly becomes suspect. What did you think of this episode ?
