Chicago PD 2x16 : our review

Aired February 25 on NBC, the episode 16 of Season 2 of Chicago PD marked a turning point for one of the leading couples of the show. Back on the main lines of "What Puts You on That Ledge?"

« We'll always have Each Other back. - Always." It happened. Only a few episodes after the first kiss between Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Lindsay (Sophia Bush), both members of the Brigade Intelligence have had no choice but to bow to the rules of their superior, Sergeant Voight. By leaving the brigade to work in the operating forces, Erin had agreed to give a chance with Jay but while the two detectives wanted to continue their relationship despite the return of the young woman, the constant tension exerted by Voight was right their torque. Predictable decision by the writers, who unfortunately are simply following the course of events. If such an outcome is obvious to the couple, it is nonetheless disappointing. Indeed, not only the two players have a real alchemy, but see the two characters together gave a whole new dynamic to the team. Certainly Jay would not as easily draw a line on Erin, but it seems that the episode Lindstead is well and truly over for this season two, and that's a shame ...

For the first time since the launch of the show, the episode introduced a part of Jay's past, which is much darker than we thought. We find also the character of Mouse (Caleb Hunt), former knowledge of Jay who appeared last season and make obviously part of this tormented past. Mouse also includes the intelligence to the position held by Sheldon Jin (Archie Kao) during the first season, an exciting new for the show, which will certainly make good use of this new face. It would also not surprising that a relationship is created between him and Lindsay whatsoever, what may make the transition to the new opportunity for Halstead and her. But since Mouse is supposed to stick around, we look forward above all to discover the details of his past that he and Jay seem to be treasured for them. The past will have an impact on the present, for the two characters?

Finally, after an episode of Chicago PD fully focused on Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Roman (Brian Geraghty) it is this time on Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) that the writers focused. After a difficult first experience undercover Antonio has finally restored a chance, allowing the Chicago police to find one of them, disappeared during a similar mission. If Antonio seems to come out unscathed - unlike Voight-,it's hard for us to imagine that this betrayal will not affect the result.

Dawson will suffer the consequences of his actions, in the rest of the show? Response in the coming weeks on the American channel NBC.

Entitled "Say Her Real Name", the seventeenth episode of Chicago PD Season 2 will be aired on March 18th in the US. On your side, what did you think of this episode?
