Vampire Diaries 6x9 : our review

Thursday, the US channel The CW aired episode 9 of season 6 of The Vampire Diaries. We invite you to discover our review of this episode titled "I Alone"!

One thing is certain, this new episode of The Vampire Diaries didn't disappoint us !

In addition, this episode is very touching, especially concerning the plot of Bonnie, whose character pleases us more this season. The episode 9 of season 6 of The Vampire Diaries, titled "I Alone" starts with Alaric who steals the Ascendant to Jo after Damon forced him to do it. We now understand that Damon is willing to do anything to save Bonnie, even to betray his best friend. Besides the scene where Alaric confronts Damon about what he did to him is really sad because if for once Damon did not act in its own interest, it may cost him his only real friendship. After Damon has recovered the Ascendant, Liv managed to send him and Elena in 1994 to bring Bonnie back, the plan works well at the beginning, Elena even able to contact Bonnie and talk to her. This scene is one of the best of the episode. Anyway, this little trip in 1994 helped Elena and Damon to spend some time together, and even if there are always ups and downs in their relationship, Elena still saw a new side of Damon. So I personally hope to see more closer scenes between them in the next episode, and why not a kiss under the mistletoe?

Anyway, we did not see coming that Sarah had lied. Stefan sees immediately clear in her game because he knows where the real Sarah is, he monitors her since her birth. Indeed, the vampire has ensured that the young woman had a comfortable life, away from vampires and Mystic Falls. However, something tells us that we will surely get to know the real Sarah later in the season. While Stefan puts the record straight with the false Sarah, named Monique, Matt and Enzo landed and he decides to kill Monique just because Stefan refuses to tell her the truth about her. Once again, Enzo goes too far and Matt decided to ask for help to Jeremy, offering to become a vampire hunter again to kill Enzo.

However, the biggest shock of the episode is when we realize that Kai has managed to run the Ascendant and escape. The first thing on his list is to find Liv and steal some of her powers before she is narrowly saved by Tyler. Unfortunately for Bonnie, the return of Kai made Liv brought Damon and Elena back in the present, before she has had time to return to Mystic Falls. Elena is shocked to know that Bonnie will go before the porch of her house to discover that no one is waiting for her. For the first time since she was imprisoned in 1994, we can see Bonnie crying. She always been strong and optimistic and this time is surely the straw that broke the camel. The scene where she realizes that she is alone and still stuck in prison, is very beautiful and very touching and we are saying that, really, Bonnie is one of the best characters in this season 6. Finally, back in present Mystic Falls, Kai made a proposal to Tyler: help him for Liv stay alive. Indeed, what Kai wants is not to kill his little sister, but merge with Jo. Tyler will accept this deal with the devil to save the woman he loves? The answer next week in the final winter! Until them, let's all praying and hoping for a DELENA MISTLETOE KISS!
