Vampire diaries 6x13 : our review

Thursday night, the American channel The CW aired episode 13 of season 6 of The Vampire Diaries. We suggest you to discover our review for this episode entitled "The Day I Tried to Live"!

It was Bonnie’s birthday in episode 13 of season 6 of The Vampire Diaries which aired Thursday night on US channel The CW, and the least we can say is it wasn’t certainly her best celebration. The episode begins with our beloved Bonnie realizing that it's her birthday because she counts the days on a calendar. We are really happy to see her agan even though we know that this day will be particularly hard for her. In the present, Elena and the others are also preparing for celebrate this special day in honor of their friend. But when Elena and Damon were sharing a moment of intimacy, they are interrupted by Kai. Since he merged with Luke, he is not the same, he has feelings, and even confesses that he cried. Rest assured, it didn't take away his sense of humor! He's here for asking them help because he can not stop to feel remorse and he wants Jo to know. He wrote her a letter.

Elena sees there the perfect opportunity to request a return service to Kai. She repaired the ascendant and would like that Kai helps them contact Bonnie. Against all odds, Kai agrees to help them, but recognizes that the ascendant will be of no use. He offers to send them in 1994 as a ghost, a bit like in the movie "Ghost". This is when the small group realizes that Bonnie wants to end her life, but also that Kai is not powerful enough to send them all in 1994. Jeremy proposes to return alone, the aim being to make it clear to Bonnie that she has to go to Nova Scotia to absorb the magic let by the blood of Qetsiyah on the grave of Silas. If this plan seems almost flawless, that's not counting the vengeful desire of Liv who is desperate to destroy Kai. After ensuring that Tyler did not prevent, Liv went to Salvatore Manor to kill Kai once and for all, even if it means that she must die too.

While Jeremy is in the process of opening the plan on page Nova Scotia for Bonnie sees it, his body was brought back in the present, because Kai just been stabbed by his little sister. We can hate Kai as mush as we want, at this time, we all had a sudden feeling of hatred for Liv. Fortunately, Jeremy manages to bring Kai in another room so that he returns to Bonnie. He comes when she finally decided to end it. She locks herself in the garage with the engine of the car and records a final video for her friends, in case. Jeremy is witness of this scene, helplessly. We surely all shed our little tear seeing despair on the face of Bonnie. And that's when she remembers the words of her grandmother, she suddenly changes her mind, "stay strong", she was telling. Jeremy then succeeded, against all odds, to press the button to open the garage, saving Bonnie.

Meanwhile, Enzo and Matt made a trip to Duke to see Sarah Salvatore. Enzo forced Matt to know the young woman to learn more about her. Now that he knows that she's really a good person, he decided to destroy her by making her do the worst atrocities until she "begs him to turn her into a vampire." About Caroline and Stefan, they had their own drama to manage. This feeling powerless over the situation of her mother and Bonnie, Caroline took the initiative to find Miss Cuddles that she buried in the woods in 1994. It is an opportunity for this two people to share beautiful scenes together, and we also thought they were going to kiss! But a little patience dear steroline fans, closest scenes are scheduled for next week if we believe the video promo for episode 14.  

For the first time in a while, this episode ends on a positive  and hopeful note. Jeremy, after talking with her sister and listening Bonnie's advice, decided to send his case to an art school, he is finally ready to leave Mystic Falls. Delena is officially back after Elena said she wanted to leave the past behind them. About Bonnie, she found the open plan to the Nova Scotia page and she immediately understood the message of Damon. She is seen from the wheel of the car of Damon, toward the sun. Finally, the only sour note comes from Liv and Tyler. He did not like that Liv lied to him andput her life in danger, he said that he "never wants to see her again." Is it really over between them?  What did you think of this episode ?
