PLL 5x18 : our review

Tuesday night, the American channel aired episode 18 of season 5 of Pretty Little Liars, entitled "Oh, What Hard Luck Stories They All Hand Me." Discover our review of this episode!

This week, Pretty Little Liars was able to offer us a better episode than the last, we must admit that the new characters have a lot to do with it because they bring some freshness to the tv show which was revolving in circles . A new character has been coming to Rosewood and it is Lesley, a friend of the dead Mona. She had many things to tell to the Liars and especially to Hanna. In particular, she reveals that Mike is the last person who talked to Mona, to her knowledge, and that he looked really upset by what she heard on the phone. Thanks to her, Hanna had the opportunity to get her hands on a recording that Mona had hidden in the slice of her favorite book. On this tape you can hear Bethany talking about Alison with a doctor who is certainly from Radley. One thing is certain, Alison was not her BFF and she was very determined to prove that she was not the only one who can put evil plans in place.

Meanwhile, Aria was asking herself a lot of questions about his brother, especially after she discovered that he visited Ali in jail. Is Mike on the suspects' list? While Spencer asks Aria to confront her little brother, Aria is firstly incapable, but she finally decides to follow him when he decides to go out at night. But Mike is much smarter than we think and he saw that his sister was following him. Their confrontation does not tell us much, but manages to make us doubt the innocence of Mike, especially if we take into account the revelations of Lesley. In recent episodes, Emily is too busy with her new colleague to be at the heart of intrigues. However, her character still offered us a beautiful moment when she declared her love to Talia with the « whisperer » created by Johnny. Although the relationship between the two women is very phoned, it brought a little sweetness to the episode.

The Inspector Holbrook, meanwhile, is back in Rosewood, teaching us that it is not he who does the dirty work of Ali while she is in jail, but that she left him to rot in a hotel room and he does not understand how someone can be so bad and mean. Holbrook is telling the truth? Anyway, Hanna was not intimidated by his threats and she released her "bad-ass" attitude that we love, reminding Holbrook that he is an adult, whereas Alison is just a girl. Again, this episode brings us more questions than answers, and the intrigue all seem more or less scattered. Of course, the final scene, when the mother of Spencer discovers that the blood found in the repository is Alison's, is really weird. But as we approach the season finale, we would really like to have an initial answer, at least for the murderer of Mona. See you next tuesday for find out more ! What did you think about this episode ?
